Our Next Chapter
With the new year approaching and our recent office move complete, this is an ideal time to take stock of our past work and outline our plans for 2026 and hopefully beyond.
Evolving Our Production Process
The most significant change going forward concerns how we will develop all future projects, including books and other items funded via Kickstarter. From now on, we will aim to have at least 70% of each project completed before its campaign concludes, ensuring that only a small portion remains to be finished afterward.
Regardless of outcome, this new approach will mean much faster delivery times. Rather than 3-4 months of post-campaign production before printing, we anticipate needing no more than one month. As a result, printing and shipping should begin within two months of each campaign’s end, allowing backers to receive their rewards significantly sooner. This will also simplify the process for everyone post campaign when we charge shipping fees and run our post-campaign surveys.
Loyalty Discounts for Returning Backers
As a thank-you to our long-time supporters, we will also be introducing a loyalty discount for Collector’s Editions of our upcoming books. Backers who have pledged for any Collectors Editions of any of our past titles will receive a special link for our next campaign, granting access to a significant discount on the new Collector’s Edition tier.
Going forward, this system will continue. For our first book of 2026, all previous book backers will be eligible for the discount. For the second book of the year, eligibility will be limited to backers of the first 2026 title and so on. This pattern will repeat for future campaigns, rewarding those who continue to support each release in sequence.
We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm as we evolve our publishing process. These changes mark a major step forward in how we create, deliver, and reward participation in our projects — ensuring a more efficient and enjoyable experience for all our backers.
